Storholmen Viking Summer 2027: dates, tickets and how to get there
Storholmen Viking Summer runs for most of July at the Storholmen Viking Museum, an open-air village by Lake Erken outside Norrtälje, about an hour north of Stockholm. It is a living-history season rather than a weekend market, with reenactors in residence, guided tours and hands-on crafts.

What happens
Storholmen is a reconstructed Viking Age village on an Iron Age burial site by Lake Erken. During Viking Summer the houses are lived in: reenactors cook, forge, weave and talk to visitors, and the museum runs guided tours, craft workshops and a bookable Viking sauna. It is quieter and slower than a market weekend, and better for a half day with children than for a shopping trip.
Getting there
Storholmen is reached by car. From Stockholm, take the E18 north to Norrtälje, then follow signs towards Erken; the museum is about ten minutes from town. Parking is on site. Public transport to Norrtälje is straightforward, but the last stretch to the lake has no regular bus.
