The Winter Solstice Market at Fyrkat is a one-day Viking market in December at the reconstructed Viking farm beside Harald Bluetooth's ring fortress outside Hobro, in North Jutland. Vikings from the area have gathered for it since 1996, selling handmade goods in the farm's houses and ending the afternoon with a torch procession at dusk.
Ale Viking Market opens the Swedish season on the first weekend of May at Ale Vikingagård, a reconstructed Viking farm in Nödinge, twenty-five minutes north of Gothenburg. Traders and reenactors from across Europe use it as the first stop of the year.
Bjørgvin Marknad is a Viking and medieval market held over a weekend in late May or early June at Hordamuseet, an open-air museum on the fjord at Stend, about half an hour south of Bergen, Norway. It is run by volunteers from the association of the same name, has been held since 2004, and the 2026 market was June 5 to 7.
The Ribe International Viking Market runs for a full week at the turn of April and May at Ribe VikingeCenter outside Ribe, Denmark's oldest town, about an hour from Billund Airport. With several hundred Vikings from across Europe it is one of the largest Viking markets on the continent, and it opens the Nordic season each year.
The Vetlanda Viking Market is held over the last weekend of May in Kvarndammsparken, a park in the centre of Vetlanda in the Småland highlands, about two and a half hours from Gothenburg. Run by the Emådalen Vikings, it is a small early-season market with crafts, combat and music.
