Trondheim Viking Market 2027: dates, tickets and how to get there
The Trondheim Viking Market is held over the third weekend of June at Horg bygdatun, a rural museum in Melhus about forty minutes south of Trondheim, Norway. Run by the Trondheim Viking Society, it combines a market and camp with a lecture program on clothing, finds and music.

What happens
A weekend market and camp on the grounds of a rural heritage museum, with traders, warriors and craftspeople, and something most markets lack: a lecture program each day on historical clothing, metal detecting, Baltic Viking Age finds and musical instruments. Visitors can make a clay bead, strike a coin, write in runes, shoot a bow or take a sword and shield lesson from the warriors.
Getting there
Horg bygdatun is in Melhus, about forty minutes south of Trondheim on the E6. Værnes Airport is an hour away. Regional trains stop at Melhus, with a taxi for the last stretch.
