Stevns Viking Market 2027: early August, dates not announced
The Stevns Viking Market is held over three days in early August on the field beside the sports hall in Rødvig, on the Stevns peninsula an hour south of Copenhagen. Run by the local Stevns Vikings association, it is a community market with crafts, combat and camp life, close to the chalk cliffs of Stevns Klint.

What happens
Three days of camp life, crafts, fighting and food on a field in Rødvig, organised by the Stevns Vikings. It is a local market rather than a big festival, and easy to combine with the UNESCO-listed Stevns Klint cliffs and the cold war fortress a few kilometres away.
What visitors say
Local press coverage describes a community market that has grown year on year: three days of stalls, crafts, sword fights, mead and roast, with the Friday given over to school groups and institutions and the weekend open to everyone. Admission was 50 DKK in 2025 with children under twelve free, which makes it one of the cheapest markets in Denmark. New assembly tents and a bar appeared in 2025. There are no travel-site reviews to speak of; the audience is Stevns and Køge.
Our take
Stevns is a good local market in a part of Zealand most visitors pass on the way to the cliffs. Come on the Saturday if you are already on Stevns for Stevns Klint or the cold war fortress, give it two hours, and enjoy prices from another decade. It is not worth an hour’s drive from Copenhagen on its own; Trelleborg the previous month is the big Zealand festival.

Getting there
By car, an hour south of Copenhagen via Køge. By train, change at Køge for the local line to Rødvig; the field is a short walk from the station.
