Trelleborg Viking Market (Sweden) 2027: dates, tickets and how to get there
The Battle of Trelleborgen is a Viking market and festival held over the first weekend of July at Trelleborgen, a partly reconstructed ring fortress in the town of Trelleborg on Sweden's south coast, half an hour from Malmö. It is the weekend after Foteviken and 25 minutes east of it.

What happens
Trelleborgen is a quarter of a ring fortress rebuilt on its original site in the middle of town, with a longhouse and a small museum. For the Battle of Trelleborgen weekend it hosts a market with jewellery and crafts, a reenactor camp, guided tours of the fortress, storytelling, short plays such as “How Thor got his hammer” for children, and the staged battle itself on the Saturday.
Getting there
Trelleborg is 30 minutes from Malmö by car or by the Pågatåg regional train, and about 70 minutes from Copenhagen Airport across the Øresund Bridge. The fortress is a ten-minute walk from Trelleborg station.
Not to be confused with
The Trelleborg Viking Festival in Denmark is at a different ring fortress near Slagelse, on Zealand, the following week.
Combine with
Foteviken Viking Market the weekend before, 25 minutes west. Together they make a nine-day Viking stretch in Skåne.
