Ale Viking Market

Ale Viking Market opens the Swedish season on the first weekend of May at Ale Vikingagård, a reconstructed Viking farm in Nödinge, twenty-five minutes north of Gothenburg. Traders and reenactors from across Europe use it as the first stop of the year.

Vetlanda Viking Market

Vetlanda, Sweden

The Vetlanda Viking Market is held over the last weekend of May in Kvarndammsparken, a park in the centre of Vetlanda in the Småland highlands, about two and a half hours from Gothenburg. Run by the Emådalen Vikings, it is a small early-season market with crafts, combat and music.

Hornbore Ting is a three-day Viking market held over the first weekend of August at Hoge Slott, just south of Hamburgsund on the Bohuslän coast, an hour and forty minutes north of Gothenburg. It has traders from across Europe, Viking boats on the water and a single ticket that covers all three days.
